I got a fringe

So. I did it. I got a fringe!
I went to the hairdressers this afternoon (which was lovely by the way) and got my hair cut.
I showed the hairdresser a picture of Zooey Deschanel, Taylor Swift & Alexa Chung and she said the Alexa Chung fringe would most suit me.
I'm pretty sure I like it... yeah I think so. I mean I'm forever changing my mind on these things but I think I'll stick with a fringe for a while...

I can be such a poser, I know!
And like the photo's from my last post, excuse the crappy webcam quality & my face but I thought you may be curious to know if I got a fringe or not!

I just want to tell you | fringe/bangs?

Okay I'm seriously debating whether or not to get a fringe/bangs again!
Last year I got a fringe but I grew it out after a few months...
But I'm just after looking back at old videos and photos where I had a fringe and I'm dying to get my hair cut again!
I do this a lot though - I get bored, I see someone's hair I like, I change my hair & generally end up regretting it a few months later. I basically always want what I don't have.
So I'm confused.
Want to see my hair inspirations?

They're all so perfect, right? Now don't worry - I know (sadly) I don't look like Alexa, Zooey or Taylor I just want a fringe like theirs - you get me? A layered full fringe.
I've said the word 'fringe' a lot in this post, it doesn't even look like a word now!

Excuse the crappy webcam photos and my face but I realised you need to see what my hair looks like & this is just a quick post.

So what do you think? Should I get a fringe or just leave my hair as it is?  I need your help!

kitten & the seaside | online journal

It's been a wee while, hasn't it?
As I'm sure you all know we had a heatwave in the UK and therefore I spent less time on the internet (for once!)
I had a lovely little week so I thought I'd share a few snaps with you...

#1 I got a new kitten last week! I called her Penny after Penny Lane in Almost Famous (there's also a Penny in Dirty Dancing, my favourite film). She's adorable & is actually curled up beside me as I type this.

#2 Pier Jumping! I went to a lifeguard/rescue course at the beach with my friend & it was a week long. It was lovely and relaxed - there was two classes that lasted about 20 minutes and the rest of the day you could sunbathe or go pier jumping or really whatever you wanted!

#3 The Beach! In true hipster style I took a photo of my sunglasses (well they're actually my sister's but she doesn't know I took them, shhhh) on the beach. (disclaimer - I am not a hipster, I just like this photo!)

#4 Reading and Eating! Finally, today is another hot day so I'm just relaxing outside with Paper Towns by John Green and an ice pop. I borrowed the book from my friend and I'm hoping I'll enjoy it more than The Fault In Our Stars (I'm like the only person on the planet who isn't obsessed with that novel!)

my june favourites

I feel like I haven't properly blogged in ages because of the 30 Day Snap Challenge so I'm back with a bit of a beauty post.
It's my June favourites.
In my mind summer has officially started now that it's July ... therefore I have to stop being lazy and actually do something because I know September is going to be here before I know it!
Let's not talk about that though (it's slightly depressing), let's talk about what I've been loving this month!

#1 Models Own Make-Up Blending Sponges I picked these up a few months ago in Boots because I have always wanted to try sponges. The pack came with the two sponges and I think it was around £8. I switch up my foundation routine by using brushes and these sponges and sometimes I use both just to make sure everything is blended and looking natural. The small end of the sponge is great for blending in the places that are hard to reach like the corners of your eyes.

#2 Revlon ColorStay Liquid Liner I absolutely love liquid eyeliner, it's part of my everyday make-up routine. Therefore I've tried and tested lots of different eyeliners but this is one I'll be repurchasing for sure. The brush is quite thick but is more flexible than an eyeliner marker. I find it easy to apply (once I got used to it!) and I think it looks really nice on.

#3 One Tree Hill Season 9 I've talked about One Tree Hill a lot on my blog recently but I watched the last episode two days ago and I don't know what to do with myself! Do you ever get that when you finish a TV series? I watched the 9 seasons in 4 months so it kind of took over my life & is probably the reason I failed some of my exams! All I'll say is if you're looking for a good TV show, you should definitely watch One Tree Hill.

#4 Topshop Nail Polish in Celestial I've been loving this colour! I think I bought this nail polish nearly a year ago and I've definitely shown it on my blog before but my love for it has rekindled as it gets warmer outside. I think it's a perfect summer nail polish.

#5 Taylor Swift Wonderstruck Enchanted If you read my blog regularly you probably know that I love Taylor Swift. She's pretty perfect. But I swear I'm not being biased by putting this in my monthly favourites. As you can see the bottle is beautiful and so is the scent. I can't decide if I prefer the original Wonderstruck or this though... I like to switch it up. I think Wonderstruck is more of a day perfume and I wear Wonderstruck Enchanted if I'm going out in the evening. But you can wear it whenever you want! I'm rubbish at describing the smell of perfumes so I'll not even attempt it but if I was to compare Wonderstruck Enchanted with Wonderstruck I'd say it's more 'mature and grown-up'.
